College Group Names Board Member
Ann M. Garten, Coast Community College District director of public affairs, has been named to the Assn. of California Community College Administrators board of directors.
The association provides professional education, training and development opportunities for new and continuing community college administrators. It also establishes partnerships with business, educational and government agencies.
Members serve as advocates for the California Community College system and help form policy.
Garten became public affairs director in 1989. She serves on the board of both the Community College Public Relations Organization and the Public Relations Assn. of Southern California Colleges.
