Police arrested the son of NAACP President Kweisi Mfume after he gave them a false name while being questioned about a traffic accident in Towson, Md. Michael Mfume, 27, told authorities he was driving a car that was involved in a minor accident north of Baltimore, but witnesses told police the driver was Tony N. Braxton, 24, of Baltimore, who is wanted on charges of attempted murder and kidnapping in Annapolis. Police spokesman Bill Toohey said Mfume was being held on $1,000 bail on charges that included making false statements to a police officer and driving on a suspended license. Braxton also was being held on the Annapolis warrant, Toohey said.
