22 to Graduate From Entrepreneurial Program

A graduation ceremony will be held this evening for 22 students who have completed an entrepreneurial training program designed to help people start their own business.

The Charo Community Development Corp.’s 11-week program teaches the fundamentals of business management. To graduate, students must draft a detailed business plan. Not all of the participants are newcomers to business. A few students already have their own businesses.

“One man was at the desperation point with his business, so he took the class” said Marta Mercado, program services assistant at Charo. “I have heard a lot of positive things from him already.”

The cost of the program ranges from $25 to $449 depending on a student’s income.
