Senior University Celebrates 1st Year

Senior University, which serves people older than 50 regardless of previous formal education, will celebrate its first anniversary Oct. 4.
The education program covers a range of topics, including current events, film critiquing, marine biology, creative writing, computers and history. Members also take field trips. The program, at Cal State Long Beach, serves more than 500 people in Orange and Los Angeles counties. The anniversary celebration will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to noon on the university campus.
