From Times Wire Reports

Hundreds of people mourning those killed in a ferry disaster blocked the main highway, building barricades of burning tires to protest delays in recovering dozens of bodies from the wreck. More than 250 people are believed to have died when the ferry capsized off Montrouis. The U.S. Navy took over the recovery effort from Canadian divers with the U.N. peacekeeping force in Haiti. The Canadian divers said that there was no evidence of massive overcrowding on the vessel, contradicting initial accounts.
