Craig Consumer Places 4 Executives on Leave

Craig Consumer Electronics Inc. said four employees, including Richard Berger, the company’s president, were placed on administrative leave pending an internal investigation. The company’s investigation was prompted by the start of a government investigation into certain transactions. Chief Executive Richard Williamson will operate the company with the assistance of employees retained to perform the duties of those on leave, Craig said. Tim Gaffney, a former regional marketing representative for Craig, has assumed the duties of marketing director on an interim basis. A company spokesman declined to provide details of the investigation.
