AML Communications in Camarillo says it has received orders totaling $900,000 from two major wireless customers for multicarrier power amplifiers and paging amplifiers.

AML received a follow-up order of $550,000 from NEC Brazil for M40 multicarrier power amplifier units. NEC Brazil’s first amplifier order from AML, valued at $400,000, was secured in the first fiscal quarter that ended June 30. AML intends to ship all the units in the second order by Sept. 30.

In the second contract, AML secured an order valued at $350,000 from PageMart for paging amplifiers. The contract is the first significant production order for AML’s new product line serving this market.
