1995 Fattoria di Felsina Chianti Classico (About $17)

1995 is an absolutely splendid year for Tuscan wines. Chianti Classicos are just coming on the market, and this example from Fattoria di Felsina in Berardenga, at the southernmost reach of Chianti Classico territory, is a real stunner. It could be the best Chianti this terrific producer has made. Beautifully structured, with a lovely scent of rose petals and cherries, it is everything you’d want from a Chianti--and this is only the normale, not the riserva. You’ll have to move quickly.
