Story Doesn’t Match Her Observations

Re “Domestic Policy” by Kevin Baxter (Aug. 31): I don’t doubt that many undocumented workers are exploited, but the article gives me the impression that most domestic workers are paid way under the legal minimum wage.

I do not use the services of a domestic helper, but we have several friends and acquaintances who do. They all pay $50 to $60 for four to five hours of work. I would not call this exploitation.
