Along with the organizational changes, Xircom unveiled a distribution program to enable the company to react quickly to market events and introduce new products.

As a result of the reorganization and a one-time reduction in revenue because of the shift to the new distribution program, the company is revising its revenue and earnings estimates for the fourth quarter ending Sept. 30. Revenue for the quarter, now projected to be about $25 million, will be below the expectations of Wall Street analysts, company officials said.

The company expects a loss of 40 to 50 cents per share in the quarter.

Xircom manufactures PC card and CardBus communications products to connect mobile and remote portable PC users to corporate networks, the Internet and other online services from a variety of locations.
