Singer Melissa Etheridge and actors David Hyde Pierce (Dr. Niles Crane in the TV series “Frasier”) and Kathy Najimy (the giggling nun in “Sister Act”) will host opening night of the musical revue “Situation Tragedy” on Saturday at the Globe Playhouse.

Proceeds from the $50 tickets benefit the Aviva Center, a Los Angeles treatment center for abused teenage girls, said a spokesman.

Aviva includes a 36-bed residence for girls 12 to 18, a special education high school program for both residents and day students and an HIV/AIDS education prevention program.
