Mo Johnston scored twice to lead the Kansas City Wizards to a 5-2 victory over the Colorado Rapids in front of 12,485 in Kansas City.
Preki, who had three assists, scored the game-winner in the 54th minute, chipping the ball in.
Johnston scored for the Wizards (21-10) in the 17th minute. Colorado slips to 13-18.
Washington 5, Tampa Bay 1--Jesse March scored two goals as D.C. United routed the Mutiny in front of 16,326 rain-soaked fans at Tampa, Fla.
March scored in the fifth and 53rd minutes for Washington (21-10). Alan Prampin scored for Tampa Bay (17-14).
