Biscuit Line for CKE
ANAHEIM — CKE Restaurants Inc., operator of the Carl’s Jr. fast-food chain, said Friday that it has reached an agreement with a North Carolina company to introduce a line of Hardee’s biscuits to be sold in supermarkets and other retail outlets.
Financial terms with WSMP Inc. in Claremont, N.C., weren’t disclosed.
The companies said in a news release that they will test-market sausage, steak, chicken and ham biscuits under the Hardee’s label in retail outlets in Detroit, Phoenix and selected markets in California.
WSMP’s bakery unit will produce the biscuits and distribute them within the next two months.
