Vertex Receives Funding

IRVINE —  Vertex Networks Inc., a developer and marketer of components for computer network switching applications, said Monday that four investment companies and new and existing investors have given it $3.6 million in new funding.

The financing will be used for increasing production of the company’s chips for local area network switches and for future product development.
