Police Hunt for Suspect in Slaying of Teacher

Share

An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for a man suspected of killing a 59-year-old teacher.

Roy Edward Wallace, 44, had lived in Charlotte Snowden-Meissner’s home for about two months, authorities said. He has been missing since Sunday, when her body was found in her home on Randall Street in an unincorporated area near La Habra, Lt. Hector Rivera said.

The Sheriff’s Department would not say how or why they think she was killed for fear of jeopardizing the investigation, Rivera said.

Detectives are looking for Wallace and for the victim’s maroon 1992 Dodge Dakota pickup, which they believe Wallace has. The license is 4K53505.

Snowden-Meissner, 59, taught English to adult immigrants at schools in Los Angeles County. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hope Lutheran Church, 10327 Valley Home Ave., Whittier.

Anyone with information about Wallace is asked to call (714) 647-7055 or (714) 628-7170.
