3D Contracts Worth at Least $1.5 Million

3D Systems Corp. said it has signed licensing contracts for its rapid tooling process with two companies for a minimum value of $1.5 million.

The U.S. licensee is a Rockford, Ill., concern, Industrial Molds Inc., which plans to set up a division to sell molds using 3D’s tooling technology. The other licensee is an unnamed European maker of electrical products.

3D said additional fees could be paid over the next four years if both licensees exercise certain options.
