Parents Can Obtain Child ID Cards

Share

In an effort to protect youth and educate parents about what to do if their child is missing, free laminated identification cards are being offered this week by the county’s health department.

The cards are available for children 12 and younger and include a photograph, a fingerprint and emergency and medical information. Parents also will receive a wallet card detailing steps for reporting a missing child, said June English, spokeswoman for Public Health Services.

Parents should bring a photograph showing their child’s face that can be cropped to 1 1/2 square inches, English said.
