Councilman Gets Leadership Award
Councilman Chris Norby recently received a leadership award from the Local Government Council.
The council, a nonprofit organization that recognizes the promotion of free-market, pro-business and traditional values in public policy, cited Norby for his role in government. It gave the councilman its 1997 Samuel Adams Award for leadership in Local Government.
The late Samuel Adams was elected tax collector for Boston in 1756 and served in the office for eight years, before becoming the governor of Massachusetts.
