Harbor Drowning Victim Identified as 21-Year-Old
A drowning victim found Tuesday afternoon in Newport Harbor has been identified as a Newport Beach man, the Orange County coroner’s office said Wednesday.
Daniel James Blasy, 21, was discovered in the water near a dock behind 2270 Newport Blvd., authorities said.
Investigators say there are no signs of foul play, and they are continuing to investigate how he ended up in the harbor.
A police spokesman said the man may have been fishing from the dock.
