From Times Wire Reports

Charles E. Schumer, the veteran New York congressman, formally made it a three-way race for the Democratic nomination to take on Sen. Alfonse M. D’Amato in November. Schumer complained that D’Amato voted “much more like a senator from Mississippi than a senator from New York.” Schumer, 47, joins former vice presidential candidate Geraldine A. Ferraro and New York City Public Advocate Mark Green in the race.
