‘Down to Earth’ Is Anti-Hunger Benefit

“Down to Earth,” a benefit for the national anti-hunger organization Share Our Strength, will be held April 19 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Every Picture Tells a Story gallery and bookstore in Los Angeles.

The event will feature vocalist Perla Battala and an all-star band; a silent auction of original art by noted illustrators Lois Ehlert, Christopher Wormell and Michael McCurdy; food catered by top restaurants; and a book-signing with Michael J. Rosen, editor of “Down to Earth,” a collection of works by 41 children’s book authors and illustrators.

Admission is a donation of $10 per person or $20 per family.
