The Camarillo Hospice will present its second annual garden tour April 26 as a fund-raiser for the nonprofit organization that provides free emotional support and services to the terminally ill and their families.

The self-guided tour, which will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., will feature special gardening demonstrations and refreshments.

Garden demonstrations will include creation of a living wreath, ornamental gardening and potted plant partnerships with Dobson Nursery Ranch.

Participants on the garden tour will see how recycled concrete is used to build retaining walls, a shade house, gazebos, a pergola, koi pond and water falls. Participants will also see gardens with terraced slopes, drought-tolerant plants, dry creek beds, care-free perennials, fruit and patio trees, garden pots, hanging baskets and colorful flower beds.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 on the day of the tour. They are on sale at the Camarillo Hospice Certified Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, Earl Joseph Shoes, Cooley’s and the Santa Rosa Pharmacy.

A map to the garden locations is included with the ticket. There is no charge for children under 12 accompanied by an adult.
