Bullfrogs’ Plans in New League Still Developing

The Bullfrogs are tentatively scheduled to play in Major League Roller Hockey’s Coastal Conference with teams from New York, New Jersey and Washington, the league has announced.

League spokesman Matt Katlin said the Alexandria, Va.-based league expects to have 19-25 teams, including six or seven in England, in four divisions. Each team will play 10 home games during the 20-game season, which will begin in mid-June. Eight teams, including one from England, will qualify for playoffs scheduled to begin the second week of August and conclude before Labor Day.

The schedule will be released after April 25, Katlin said.

MLRH President Bill Raue flew to California this weekend to meet with owners of the San Jose Rhinos, a former Roller Hockey International rival of the Bullfrogs. The Buffalo Wings, formerly of RHI, committed to play with MLRH last week, Katlin said.
