Taylor Yard

Re your March 29 editorial about the multiuse development of the Taylor Yard, along the L.A. River:

A very welcomed bicycle path stretching from the north side of Griffith Park down to Los Feliz has already been created, and landscaping along the west side of the riverbank has been going on for the past couple of years. The creation of a greenbelt with an extension of the bike path along the riverbank of the Taylor Yard is an idea much too good to pass up, regardless of the type of development slated for the remainder of the property.

Sure, it would be nice to have our own L.A. “Riverwalk,” but just adding a small stretch of parkland in an area where it would be the most appropriate use of space could add immeasurable value to the remainder of the development, the river and to the city.
