English Garden Writer to Talk

The renowned English garden writer and nurseryman Christopher Lloyd will give talks in Los Angeles and Del Mar in early May.

Author of “The Well-Chosen Garden” and “Other People’s Gardens” (which includes some Southland gardens), Lloyd likes strong colors in plants and striking combinations. His slide show and lecture is titled “Bold and Beautiful Gardens.”

On May 3, at 2:30 p.m., he will speak at the Huntington Botanical Gardens in San Marino. Tickets are $18.50, and reservations are requested.

On May 4, at 7:30 p.m., he will speak at a special meeting of the San Diego Horticultural Society, held at the Satellite Wagering Facility of the Del Mar Fairgrounds on Jimmy Durante Boulevard in Del Mar.
