Azusa Pacific University Opening Ventura Campus

Azusa Pacific University, which offers graduate and undergraduate education programs, is scheduled to open a Ventura satellite campus in early May.

Located at the Ventura Professional Center on Ralston Street, the facility will offer up to 10 courses accommodating about 150 students. Programs will include graduate education degrees, teacher credential programs and degree completion programs in business management.

Chuck Engle, vice president of CB Commercial Real Estate Group, represented the university in negotiating the long-term lease.

Several other real estate transactions also were announced:

Harwil Corp., a manufacturer of water flow valves, closed escrow on the purchase of 2.1 acres of land at McInnes Ranch Business in Oxnard. Plans call for the construction of a 35,000-square-foot building to house all aspects of the business. The parcel was purchased from Los Angeles-based EJM Development. Paul Farry, vice president of CB Commercial, represented EJM Development.

Symark International, a computer software distributor, leased more than 5,700 square feet of office space in the Corsa Business Center in Westlake Village. Michael Slater, first vice president of CB Commercial, represented both Symark and the property’s owner in negotiations for the long-term lease.

Watsonville-based Sambrailo Packaging leased 8,660 square feet of space on Industrial Avenue in Oxnard. Paul Farry and Jim Meaney represented both Sambrailo and the property’s owner, Channel Islands Properties, in negotiations for the long-term lease. Sambrailo provides boxes and other packaging for the agriculture industry.
