ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

Printronix Inc.: The Irvine maker of computer printers reported fourth-quarter net income of $3.2 million, or 39 cents a share, which included an after-tax charge of $600,000 for acquisition-related costs. That compares with net income of $3.5 million, or 42 cents a share, for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. Sales for the quarter ended March 27 gained 6% to $43.4 million from $41 million. For the year, net income rose 29% to $15.1 million, or $1.83 a share, from $11.7 million, or $1.40 a share, a year ago.
