In its latest cost-cutting move, Eastman Kodak Co. is relocating production of its X-ray film processors from its Elmgrove, N.Y., facility near its Rochester headquarters to a plant in Tijuana. Kodak officials declined to say exactly how many workers will be affected by the relocation of its X-OMAT line of medical equipment. The Tijuana factory currently assembles copiers from remanufactured parts. The transfer of the X-OMAT line comes as Kodak reviews its manufacturing operations worldwide in a bid to eliminate $1 billion in costs over two years.
