vs. Washington Mystics

6 p.m.

Site--Great Western Forum.

TV--ESPN.

Radio--KLAC (570).

Records--Sparks 9-13, Washington 2-19.

Update--Hopes haven’t been this high for the Sparks since the season opener June 11 at Utah, won by Los Angeles, 89-83. After that, losses and injuries mounted and aspirations dwindled. But suddenly the Sparks have a three-game win streak and meet the Mystics tonight, the WNBA’s worst team. Spark Coach Orlando Woolridge is awaiting word on the status of guard Tamecka Dixon, who injured her left knee late in Saturday’s 73-65 victory at Utah. It was being called a strain Sunday, pending a doctor’s exam early today. Washington lost to the Sparks, 77-68, on Wednesday in Washington.
