Applicants Sought for 2 City Advisory Panels
The city is looking for volunteers to fill positions on two boards that advise the City Council on the arts and the needs of low-income residents.
Four vacancies exist on the Citizen Participation Advisory Board, which holds hearings to get input on community needs and proposals for the Community Development Block Grant program. The board encourages minorities and low-income residents to apply.
Applications are available from the city clerk’s office, in the second floor of the Civic Center, 2000 Main St. They also are available by mail by calling (714) 536-5529. The deadline to apply is Aug. 18.

Two seats are open on the city’s nine-member Allied Arts Board. The board coordinates programs relating to arts within the city and gives the City Council recommendations on developing cultural activities.
