College District Names New Vice Chancellor
Vera Martinez, former president of Fullerton College, has been appointed vice chancellor of instruction for the North Orange County Community College District.
Martinez, who will oversee education and enrollment planning and international education programs, will assume her new responsibilities Monday.
The job has been vacant for seven years after the reorganization of the district’s administrative staff. The Board of Trustees approved the appointment last week.
Martinez was president of Fullerton College for more than four years. She also has held administrative jobs at Santa Monica Community College and UCLA.
