Comsat Corp., a satellite communications company, sued three former employees, including an Anaheim Hills resident, alleging they stole and destroyed sensitive computer files before they quit to join a competitor last month.

Comsat is seeking compensation for damages and the return of the missing information, and wants to prevent the three employees from using any of the company’s trade secrets, according to the lawsuit, which was filed Tuesday in the Montgomery County Circuit Court in Rockville, Md.

The lawsuit accuses Daryl Newsom of Anaheim Hills and Wayne D’Ambrosio and Robert Roe, both of Virginia, of stealing and then destroying reports concerning customer revenue, lists of major client accounts, government contracts and other information. The three started working last month for Stratos Mobile Networks (USA) LLC and IDB Mobile Communications Inc., subsidiaries of Toronto-based Stratos Global Corp., the lawsuit said.

Newsom, D’Ambrosio and Roe couldn’t be reached for comment. D’Ambrosio had been director of government sales for Comsat Mobile Communications since 1995, the suit said. Roe had been manager of Navy government sales since 1996, and Newsom had been manager of Maritime government sales since last year.

Comsat, which is based in Bethesda, Md., was created by the U.S. government and sells access to Intelsat and Inmarsat--two government-backed satellite networks--for communication to or from the U.S. using those systems.
