MotorVac Technologies Inc.: The Santa Ana automotive products company reported a second-quarter net loss of $268,983, or 6 cents a share, contrasted with net income of $196,239, or 4 cents a share, for the second quarter of 1997, which included a one-time benefit of $83,000 from the settlement of a lawsuit. Sales declined 7% to $2.5 million from $2.7 million. The company said its largest customer cut back purchases to reduce inventory levels. MotorVac posted a net loss of $205,053, or 5 cents a share, for the first half, contrasted with net income of $340,042, or 8 cents a share, for the first half of 1997. Sales increased 19% to $5.6 million from $4.7 million.
