* Carpinteria-based QAD Inc. reported a fiscal second-quarter net loss for the period ended July 31 of $4.4 million, or 15 cents per diluted share, on revenue of $47.3 million, contrasted with net income of $1.7 million, or 7 cents, on revenue of $40.2 million.
