Perez Resigns Post at College District

Rosa Perez has resigned as vice president of student services at Rancho Santiago Community College District. She will take a similar job at Chabot College in Hayward. She has served as lead student services administrator at Santiago Canyon College since 1995.

A native of San Francisco, Perez joined the Rancho Santiago Community College District after three years as dean of counseling, advising and matriculation at Skyline College in San Bruno. Before that, she was an instructor, counselor and administrator at City College in San Francisco.

Perez earned her degree in Latin American literature from Stanford University, and her master’s in counseling from the University of San Francisco. She is working on her doctorate in higher education administration.

“I believe in community college because of what it did for me,” Perez said. “I’m a community college success story.”
