Two Policemen Honored by MADD
Two police officers have been honored by Mothers Against Drunk Driving for their work to keep intoxicated motorists off the roads.
Senior Officer Andrew Goodrich and Officer Jose Torres received the Deuce Award at the Aug. 18 City Council meeting. Goodrich, 30, made 28 drunken driving arrests in the last fiscal year, and Torres, 30, made 27 arrests.
This is the third consecutive year the officers have received the award, which is named after the police jargon for a person driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
