Sharing of Blast Evidence Sought
A prosecutor asked an appeals court in Denver to let the government share its Oklahoma City bombing evidence with Oklahoma authorities, noting the bulk of the information already is public record. In a brief filed with the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, prosecutor Sean Connelly rejected an argument from Timothy J. McVeigh and Terry L. Nichols that the transfer of evidence could jeopardize their rights if they were to win new trials. Oklahoma authorities are pursuing state murder charges against McVeigh and Nichols for the April 1995 bombing at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building that killed 168 people.
