Labor Day always seems like the end of summer, but car enthusiasts will find their calendars filled for the next few weeks with more events than ever. The long holiday weekend offers a choice of cruises, races, car shows and swap meets.

Among best bets for the family this month are the Great Labor Day Cruise XVI on Sept. 5-7 and the ninth annual Belmont Shore Car Show on Sept. 13.
