Nominations Sought for Amgen Awards
Amgen has opened the nomination period for its eighth annual Amgen Award for Teacher Excellence.
The award, sponsored by the Amgen Foundation, recognizes extraordinary teaching contributions and performances by educators who teach kindergarten through 12th grade. Five winners will each receive a $10,000 award at a private dinner reception May 11.
To nominate a teacher, send a letter with the teacher’s name, grade level, school and an explanation of why they deserve the award. Letters should be sent to: Amgen Award for Teacher Excellence, Amgen Center, Mailstop 27-4-B, Thousand Oaks, CA 91320-1789.
Nominations can also be submitted electronically on Amgen’s Web site at https://www.Amgen.com/TeacherAward
Nominations must be sent by Feb. 19.
