HUNTINGTON BEACH
Two Scandinavian artists who have made their homes in the city are showing their work at the Main Street Library through Dec. 19.
Kirsten Ackelman, who grew up in Denmark and Sweden, worked as a fashion designer before taking up painting. Watercolorist Gunilla “Gia” Beckrot was raised outside of Stockholm, Sweden, worked as a hairdresser and helped with her husband’s business before studying the art of watercolors.
The free exhibit is open at the library, 525 Main St., from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
