Alatorre to Present Gifts to Needy Children
DOWNTOWN —
Children from Eastside housing projects will get a chance today to meet and receive gifts from Santa Claus at Olvera Street, a spokeswoman for City Councilman Richard Alatorre said.
“A lot of these kids are overlooked and live in areas where crime is rampant,” Luisa Acosta said. “The councilman wants to make there areas a lot brighter and give them something to smile about.”
Alatorre will be at Olvera Street with his family and more than 50 volunteers to help distribute toys, candy and refreshments for children.
