Sylvester Stallone, who is due to start shooting the movie “Detox” in January, has purchased a newly built home in the Beverly Hills area for about $10 million.

“Detox,” an Imagine Entertainment and Universal Pictures film, is the first movie for Stallone, 52, since “Cop Land” (1997), in which he co-starred with Robert De Niro.

Stallone and his wife, model Jennifer Flavin, have been living part time in their Miami home, which they have had on the market at $27.5 million.

London’s Orient-Express Hotels Inc. made a $24.7-million offer in September to buy the 11.7-acre bay-front property, but the deal hinges on getting zoning approval to build a commercial structure in the residential neighborhood.

The Beverly Hills-area home, described as an Italian villa, is on 3 1/2 acres with city views. The home has six bedrooms and nine baths in about 16,000 square feet. The gated estate also has a pool, formal gardens and a 500-foot-long driveway.

Stallone was attracted to the property because of its privacy and seclusion. The asking price was just under $13 million. Kurt Rappaport of Stan Herman / Stephen Shapiro & Associates, Beverly Hills, had the listing, sources said.

Dottie Dartland, executive producer and co-creator of the ABC hit series “Dharma & Greg,” has purchased a Malibu home in the low $2-million range and listed her former home, on the same street, at just under $1.7 million. She moved to a bigger home with an ocean view.

Dartland, 34, is also a writer for “Dharma & Greg,” and she was a creator, executive producer and writer of “Caroline in the City.” Earlier, she was a writer and producer of “Cybill” and “Grace Under Fire.”

She bought a four-bedroom 5,000-square-foot gated estate on slightly more than an acre. Her new home has a main house, two guest houses and a pool.

The house she listed is a gated home with four bedrooms in about 3,500 square feet. Built in 1957 and recently remodeled, the home, which she has owned for three years, has a pool, spa and lighted tennis court on 1 1/2 acres. Each home has access to a private beach. Dartland is a surfer.

James Respondek of Coldwell Banker-Jon Douglas Co., Pacific Palisades, has the listing and represented her in her purchase.

The longtime Brentwood home of the late actor Dane Clark and his wife, Geraldine, has been listed at $8.9 million. The actor, whose last film was “Last Rites” in 1988, died at 85 in September.

He gained fame playing tough but appealing soldiers, sailors and pilots in World War II films and made 30 movies with such stars as Humphrey Bogart and Cary Grant. Later, Clark appeared on Broadway and in such TV series as “The New Perry Mason” and “Cannon.”

He had lived in his Brentwood home, a horse ranch, since 1946. The 2.8-acre gated property, on a cul-de-sac just north of Sunset Boulevard, has access to the horse trails in the Santa Monica Mountains. It also has a pool and parking for 75 cars.

There are two houses on the ranch, each more than 2,000 square feet. One house, used for guests, has one bedroom and a two-level living room with a cathedral ceiling. The other house has two bedrooms and a 40-foot-long living room. Both have fireplaces.

Winter, 51, wrote “I’m Not a Kid Anymore” as the title song of his 1994 album, for which he also wrote the song “Brother’s Keeper.” It addresses the often-rocky relationship between him and his older brother, rocker Johnny Winter.

A Beverly Hills home built in 1936 for Max Steiner, who wrote the music for “Gone With the Wind” and “King Kong,” has come on the market at $8.25 million. The house also was owned by such celebrities as Glenn Ford and Nancy Sinatra. Rap star Master P leased it at $60,000 a month in the summer.

The Georgian-style house, completely refurbished, has four family bedrooms, quarters for staff, a library, formal and junior dining rooms and a den in about 8,000 square feet. There is also a tennis pavilion, tennis court, pool and spa on the acre estate.

Tania Ferris of Coldwell Banker-Jon Douglas Co., Beverly Hills, has the listing, and she and her husband, local businessman Guy Hackbarth, also own the property.
