The Community Services Department began an important mission Wednesday: Operation Santa, a program to provide food and toys for more than 500 families during the holidays. Nonperishable food and new, unwrapped toys may be dropped off at the Operation Santa site at the La Habra Marketplace, 1621 W. Imperial Highway. The deadline is Dec. 18. Information: (562) 905-9708.
