Three men have been arrested on robbery charges stemming from two unrelated incidents that occurred this month in shopping areas in Thousand Oaks, sheriff’s officials said.

Michael Nesbitt, 19, a transient, and John Vinnedge, 20, of Agoura remained in Ventura County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail Saturday in connection with a purse-snatching, a sheriff’s deputy at the jail said.

About noon Dec. 1, Nesbitt allegedly grabbed the handbag of a woman walking in the parking lot of the Janss Market Place on Moorpark Road and ran to a car, Sheriff’s Sgt. Mike De Los Santos said.

Vinnedge, the suspected getaway driver, was arrested the next day, and Nesbitt was taken into custody Thursday night after being spotted walking near Lindero Canyon and Agoura roads in Westlake Village.

At about 1 a.m. Dec. 3, 25-year-old Omar Miranda allegedly pulled a knife on a checker at a Hughes Market on Ventu Park Road and fled after being given an undisclosed amount of cash.

Miranda was arrested Friday at his home near the grocery store, De Los Santos said. He also remained in jail Saturday in lieu of $50,000 bail, a deputy said.
