ORANGE
City officials have agreed to a massive overhaul of the Police Department’s technological equipment, which is woefully outdated, according to Interim Police Chief Andy P. Romero. The first phase will cost $538,000 for software and hardware, although that is covered by public safety grants and other funds. Phase 2, which will be presented in February, will cost $900,000; police officials are trying to arrange funding from various sources.
