FOUNTAIN VALLEY
A festival designed to educate children about water conservation and the environment recently was awarded the California Water Environment Assn.’s 1998 Public Education Award. Through its Groundwater Guardian Program, the Fountain Valley-based Orange County Water District produces the Children’s Drinking Water Festival, which uses games, magic tricks, juggling and an obstacle course to teach more than 3,500 county schoolchildren about drinking water and conservation.
