Woman Pleads Not Guilty in Slaying of Tourist
An 18-year-old woman accused of taking part in the October killing of a German tourist pleaded innocent Tuesday to charges of murder and attempted robbery.
Roshana Latiesha Roberts could face the death penalty if convicted of the crimes.
Roberts, who is being held without bail, is due back in Superior Court on Jan. 5 for scheduling of a preliminary hearing, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
Another 18-year-old woman was charged earlier this month in Inglewood Juvenile Court with murder, attempted robbery and assault with a firearm. She is due back in court Jan. 11 for a hearing to determine whether she should be tried as an adult. Her name has not been released because she was 17 at the time of the crime.
