House of Blues to Expand Headquarters

Nightclub operator House of Blues is expanding its corporate headquarters and moving them to new offices in April. The company, which now leases about 24,000 square feet in an office complex near its club on the Sunset Strip, signed a lease for 33,000 square feet at Sunset Media Tower, which is owned by Beverly Hills-based Kennedy-Wilson Inc. The 10-year lease at 6255 Sunset Blvd. is valued at $7 million, according to sources close to the deal. “I think this deal marks a real turning point for Hollywood,” said real estate broker Seth Dudley of Julien J. Studley Inc., who represented House of Blues in the deal. “They could have leased in Miracle Mile or Beverly Hills, but they thought Hollywood was a better cultural fit.” The new offices also are close to its West Hollywood club.
