Panel Would Find Ways to Cut Traffic Near Park

Share

Following neighbors’ complaints, the City Council is seeking 16 people who will join a committee studying how to reduce traffic in the hillside area near Wildwood Canyon Park.

The citizens advisory committee will look at how to better control traffic created by The Castaway restaurant at 1250 Harvard Road, the DeBell Golf Course at 500 Walnut Ave., the nearby Starlight Bowl amphitheater and Wildwood Canyon Park, said City Clerk Judie Sarquiz.

Committee members will work with the city planner and a traffic consulting firm for about nine months developing a plan that will be presented to the City Council for approval, Sarquiz said. The appointees, who will serve without compensation, must be registered to vote and reside in the affected hillside area streets.
