Boy, 16, to Be Tried as Adult in Baseball-Bat Beating
POMONA —
A 16-year-old West Covina boy will be tried as an adult for the attempted murder of another youth with a baseball bat, a Pomona judge ruled Tuesday.
The teenager, who attends the local continuation high school, is accused along with another 16-year-old of trying to kill a boy by beating him Nov. 29 in West Covina.
A Juvenile Court judge will decide next month whether the second 16-year-old should be tried as an adult.
